Deletion of section
editI have restored the section I wrote which was deleted by an occasional editor. I have sent a message to User talk:Seb Patrick#Deletion of section at George Clarke (architect) inviting comments here. The edit summary when deleting was: "Lengthy reporting on incident doesn't seem particularly relevant to biography".
This section relates to George Clarke's probity when queried over his on-film statements that he observed certain circumstances on the night of a tower-block fire (Wikipedia is uncensored). The circumstances could not be proven as genuine and Clarke failed to offer any useful comments later when given the opportunity. The length was necessitated by a need to show the depth of BBC Newsnight investigations, and I am also minded that BBC iPlayer content cannot be accessed from IP addresses outside of UK, hence the transcript of on-camera conversation.
I believe I wrote it in compliance with WP:NPOV and being fully referenced, that it is a good contribution to a WP:BLP.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 02:53, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
French children dropped from burning apartment
editAs a post-script to the Grenfell Tower controversy section, which casts doubt over Clarke's observations of a seeing a child being dropped from the burning high-rise to the safety of bystanders outstretched arms, an amateur film of such an event in France during July 2020 has emerged.
This is carried by a number of news agencies, including Fox news. The report confirms injuries to the rescuers, and one can be seen collapsing, then crawling away behind a pillar where he collapses again, seemingly in much distress.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:21, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
