editThere seem to be alarming similarities between this page and that of Eugene R Black's, the previous president of the world bank. Both were vice-presidents of the same company at the same period. Perhaps this has been confused?
Difficulty finding independent citations for this article
editIn attempting to improve and cite this article, I'm finding it fairly difficult to find informative citations which are independent of the subject. Most information currently available and viewable online seems to be written or supplied by the World Bank, and I now find that even The New York Times is not independent given Woods's heavy influence on it (see section on Additional Posts). I'm simply noting this here on the talk page, as it makes improving this article somewhat difficult. Trementere (talk) 02:46, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- I spent a considerable amount of time attempting to find independent, or fairly independent, sources for the World Bank section of this article. I have removed all of the uncited material which was in that section, and rewritten the section as best I could from a fairly lengthy Google search on Woods's activities while president of the World Bank.
