This stub was created partly to create a blue link in Grade I listed churches in Merseyside, but mainly to act as a basis for a list I am creating — its temporary home is here. At the time of writing this it has three entries, one at each of the Grades I, II* and II; that's pretty notable in itself. The National Heritage List for England provides over 100 hits for the surname; not all will be for this particular architect, but most are — and each of these buildings is listed, ie. notable.
I strongly object to a new article by an experienced editor being proposed for deletion within hours of its creation without looking more deeply into the subject matter. A message on my talk page before dumping the tag on the article would have been more courteous. I have deleted the tag. --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 12:44, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
