THE MONGOL INVASIONS WERE NOT "REPULSED" - BOTH OF GEORGE IV'S ARMIES WERE ANNIHILATED, ONE AFTER THE OTHER. PLEASE REFERENCE "THE DEVIL'S HORSEMEN" by James Chambers OR "THE EMPIRE OF THE STEPPES" by Prof. Rene Grousset.

THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE WIKI BLUNDER! - GEORGIA WAS DEVASTATED AND HAD NO FIELD ARMY AFTER JEBE AND SUBEDAI'S RECONNAISSANCE RAID OF ONLY 20,000 MEN WHICH CRUSHED GEORGIA'S NUMERICALLY FAR SUPERIOR ARMIES - THIS LEFT GEORGIA WIDE OPEN TO KHWAZRIZM BANDITS, THEMSELVES THE FEW SCATTERED SURVIVORS OF THE MONGOL'S INVASION AND DESTRUCTION OF THAT STATE. AT THIS TIME THE MONGOL ARMIES WERE THE BEST IN THE WORLD - NO ONE COULD STAND UP TO THEM IN OPEN TERRITORY, CERTAINLY NOT THE DECAYED STATE OF GEORGIA AT THIS TIME.

I HAVE NOTICED WHAT APPEARS TO BE REVISIONISM ON MANY WIKI PAGES THAT SEEM TO BE DUE TO WRITERS' LOCAL NATIONAL PRIDE OVERLOOKING SOLID, HISTORICAL FACTS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.67.2.152 (talk) 16:34, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
