Sports promoter?

"This article is about sports promoter. For the sports promoter, see George Kennedy (sports promoter)." I realise there is another George Kennedy, but this article is not about a sports promoter, it's about the actor. This phrase needs to be re-worded. I'm sure George is indeed a very nice man, but this is an encyclopedia, not a blog. The following is not appropriate for this format: Kennedy was an avid pilot and client of Robertson Aircraft Corporation. I met him when he had his Piper Aztec modified. He took my wife and I to dinner one evening. He was a very gracious host. Throughout the meal, other diners came to our table to greet George and request his autograph. Monday Oct 8, 2007 - 'George Kennedy' is a common name. I have recently added an entry about Canadian businessman George Kennedy (1799-1870) for which Georgetown, Ontario is named after. Family/daughter(s)

I'm a casual reader of Wikipedia that would like to bring something to the attention of those who are more active in editing and contributing.

GSN showed a rerun of Match Game with George Kennedy, and sitting in Brett Sommers' seat was his daughter Betty Kennedy. Out of curiosity about what she had done, I searched and found the Wiki entry on George Kennedy. Is the daughter that's mentioned here, Shauna, the same as Betty, or is there a second daughter that should be included? Death

Indeed. None of the sources I've seen mention lung cancer at all. They all say Kennedy died of "natural causes" but had "heart problems." Marked as "Dubious" accordingly. Oh No! It's Faustus37! it is what it is - speak at the tone 11:06, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

According to the Wall Street Journal he was discharged with a rank of Captain. I'll add that to the article. --Jayron32 16:02, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

I was married to Georges daughter Shannon Kennedy (Landis married name at time) and this is disturbing how Wikipedia handles their page. I posted to new articles to his page and they were taken down. There is no daughter Betty and he had only Shannon, Shaunna, Carrie and Kris. He also had his grand kids who he lived for and that is why he moved to Idaho. I was married to his daughter Shannon for ten years and was best friends with George for many years. This Wikipedia article is absolutely absurd and a disgrace to his legacy. Contact me if you have questions. My children lost their grandpa and this nonsense written about him is not at all true , other tan the career he had as an actor..... @Daniel Landis: For all we know, you could be someone only pretending to have known Kennedy.

If you care about Kennedy, you should realize that our policies are in place so that someone can't just come in and claim to be his secret love child who got to keep all his hidden diaries full of lurid secrets.
