1. George Sidney (actor), born Sammy Greenfield on March 18, 1876 was an comic actor in silent films and early talkies. He died April 29, 1945
2. (his nephew) George Sideney (actor/director), was born October 4, 1916 and died May 2, 2002.

George Sidney Hollywood actor.....

This is the wrong information concerning this actor including his birthdate and death..it appears there was a director and producer named George Sidney of which some of these vital statistics are correct but the photo shown is of the actor George Sidney who played with William Powell in 'High Pressure'. and the actor was born on March 18, 1876 and died on April 29, 1945...So either they are showing a picture of the wrong George Sidney or they are giving the bio of the wrong George Sidney who's photo is shown. Bombastic statements

"In both his technical skill and artistic vision, George Sidney stands among the 20th century’s most celebrated film directors." C'mon, this is really, really overstated. And the source is a physical copy of Variety (in reference to an article whose title doesn't even seem to support such a bold statement) that's essentially impossible to verify. And the following sentence (also impossible to verify): "He was ranked second 11 years later." Second of what? It doesn't even make sense. Kumagoro-42 (talk) 19:57, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
