Russophobia
editHi My very best wishes, I think some of the info you deleted is relevant [1]. I find it notable that one of the most prominent politicians in Romania described himself plainly as Russophobic. I do agree though that explaining the context might be undue and irrelevant. The information could be easily integrated into a paragraph explaining his political views if we had one, but it is not currently present in the article. Still I think the information could be restored by cutting off the unnecessary details. Simion called himself "the most Russophobic party president" and stated that "I acquired this Russophobia over time"
could be enough. Perhaps I could briefly include at the Controversies section claims of AUR's pro-Russian affiliations and include this statement. And anyway, Category:Anti-Russian sentiment is still present in the article but currently without justification. What do you think? Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 11:16, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- In this diff a politician denies an accusation that he was connected to Russian FSB. There are several articles linked about it [2],[3], etc. His response (as framed in the text on the page) is extremely unconvincing, something like "Hell no, I am a Russophobe, and all our party members are Russophobes!" I am not against including this, but it is not about him being a Russophobe, quite the opposite. My very best wishes (talk) 20:37, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- The claim comes from Anatol Șalaru, former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova, and he provides a lot of details about the subject allegedly working for the FSB. I am not sure if this needs to be included on the page, but if we do, I hope he made a better rebuttal that simply calling himself a "Russophobe", and we should include this better rebuttal. - I can see your point. Thanks for your explanation. I'll leave the issue. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 18:17, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
