Small problem

edit

Moseley Sr. couldn't have been in the 1st Cavalry Division at the time of Moseley Jr's birth in 1905. The 1st Cav Division didn't activate until 1921. When it did, it was created out of previously existing units. One of these was the 1st Cavalry Brigade, which existed at Fort Sam prior to WWI per that division's Wiki page.

What I think happened here was the original author confused the 1st Brigade with the 1st Division, which when activated as a "square" division was made out of the 1st and 2nd Brigades, each of two regiments. Confusing the matter further is that Moseley Sr. did go on to command the 1st Cavalry Division later (1927).

So while I don't want to be accused of original research and will wait for a little bit of consensus before fixing that error, it's wrong and demonstrably so.WiseguyThreeOne (talk) 01:02, 20 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
