Actually, Zachou (or more correctly Zachow) is actually a member of the North German Organ School. Those people that worked in Central Germany that were born and raised in Central Germany (i.e., Zachow, the Bach family, etc.) were all members of the North German Organ School. Those that were born in Southern Germany (such as Kerll, Pachelbel, etc.) belong to the South German Organ School. Dgljr5121973 (talk) 18:38, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Eberlin and Buttstett

Just a note here. I moved Johann Heinrich Buttstett to the North German Organ School (see note above about Zachow for reasoning), and removed Johann Ernst Eberlin from the list as Eberlin was born in 1702 (after the two schools had already merged [ca. 1700] into one German Organ School (which began with the generation born between 1675 and 1700)). An article titled German organ schools might be expected to mention Sebastian Virdung, Arnold Schlick, Paul Hofhaimer, Hans Buchner, Hans Kotter, Leonhard Kleber, Ottmar Nachtgall, Fridolin Sicher, Elias Nicolaus Ammerbach, Johann Rühling, Jacob Paix, Heinrich Isaac, Ludwig Senfl, Hans Leo Hassler, Johann Woltz, Simon Lohet, Michael Praetorius, Charles Luython and perhaps even some post 17c composers. Issues with neutral point of view

I added a tag to the section on the Northern School disputing the neutrality of the section. The tag may need to apply to the whole article. The writing is very clear, and the information is valuable, but there are too many subjective, evaluative statements without attribution. Josef Horáček (talk) 22:35, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
