"she helped to escort several commerce raiders" - IMO, this would read smoother without the "to". Not a big deal, so if you think it contributes to the article, I'm fine with that.
- No, you're right.
"Skaggerak" - Is there a link? Also, a Google search indicates this is probably a spelling error. Also later in the article, for the spelling
- Dammit, I always mess this one up

Isn't it standard to put the fate of the vessel in the infobox?
Infobox gives beam of 8.82, prose reads 8.87
