You are right, it is more than stub, it is definitely start; I reassessed, probably slipped through when I was assessing multiple articles. How I could have known it was translated beats me. A bit of advice for the future, you could have phrased your comment a lot politer while basically saying the same. Many editors would have taken offense to a level to find a minor detail to assess it at stub for the tone of the comment alone. Arnoutf 17:56, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

What do you mean with How I could have known it was translated beats me? Did not you compare the Dutch and the English?

Neddy has been translating since a couple of weeks many of my articles without telling they were translations from the Dutch Wikipedia. I did not know how to make clear they were done by me, but added them to my userpage, waiting and looking around for a better solution. To be honest, no I did not compare Dutch and English. I just keep track of all Netherlands Uncategorised articles, and go through them regularly, assessing them on the English version alone. It is for the assessment not relevant who wrote them, only how good they are in the English version (note that quality demands on English Wiki tend to be higher compared to Dutch Wiki).

Also, in English communication Dutch directness (or being to the point) is often considered blunt, bordering on offensive. That is just a cultural thing but may lead to hurt feeling and annoyed co-editors. So for the Dutch talking on Eng-wiki may seem very polite, while in English it is aleady getting close to being blunt. Arnoutf 19:14, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

First of all I am no admin, I just assess NL articles. Second, there are literary 100's of articles in the Stub and Start classes. Simply looking them over will give the information that is needed for the class level. Of course more effort is needed when assessing B, GA, A, and FA class articles; but there are much fewer articles of that quality level so that is feasible. Anyway, the article itself (in this case in Eng wiki) is assessed, not those in other languages; so the texts there are not really relevant for assessment on English wiki.
