Are you sure that sound clip is the Temptations version? Compare it with another of their songs such as "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," and the lead singer in that clip is nowhere to be heard. I have two versions of this song, the one from which that clip is taken and another that sounds (to me, at least) more like it's the Temptations version. However, I don't have any solid proof of that. Is there some solid proof that the clip on this page is in fact the Temptations version?
Edit: I was wrong; the version I thought was the original is in fact the Rare Earth version. Maybe I'll upload a clip of it sometime.
- A sample of the Rare Earth version would be great. As for the differences in the lead singers of both Temptations songs, the group was known to have different lead singers on different songs. Falsetto Eddie Kendricks sings lead on "Get Ready", and raspy tenor David Ruffin (the group's offiical lead singer during this period, and the lead vocalist on "My Girl") sings lead on "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" --FuriousFreddy 23:54, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
The song was in Battlefield Vietnam. I do not know who sang it but that would be a good thing to add. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.109.77.215 (talk) 23:09, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Covers
editNumerous covers (lacking references etc] removed as per WP:SONGCOVER which states ...the rendition is discussed by a reliable source on the subject of the song (not on the subject of the rendition),the rendition itself meets the notability requirement at WP:NSONGS. They don't.--Egghead06 (talk) 10:42, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
