Inquiry: Suggesting Additions from Library and Archives Canada material
Latest comment: 5 years ago1 comment1 person in discussion
Hi, my name is Ruth and I am a practicum student for summer 2019 at Library and Archives Canada. I would like to suggest that this biography be expanded by information from a research file compiled by a member of Library and Archives Canada. It includes information from a digitized collection called Women Artists in Canada(2000) by Collections Canada (LAC), which still can be viewed online, as well as scans of web pages that can no longer be viewed online. The Women Artists in Canada collection has a short essay about printmaking by Caiserman-Roth, a biography with some details that are not included on the Wikipedia biography, and an artist's statement about drawing. Interestingly, the biography and the artist's statement are cited by the Wikipedia, but some details are still omitted from the Wikipedia biography. The research file also contains an artist's statement that was posted on a website for Linda Lando Fine Art, as well as an artist profile on Caiserman-Roth for a 2002 Governor General's Visual and Media Art Award in Painting. Does this research file seem like a worthy source for expanding this Wikipedia biography? LAC also holds fonds for Caiserman-Roth containing textual records, mixed media sketchbooks, photographs, and videocassettes; I am not sure how to mention or tie in some of that material, or if it is even allowed. Please share your input. I am also open to assistance with writing the emendations. -- Ruth Truong (talk) 18:04, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
