Not sure how to properly note in [talk], but here I go: When writen with a given name, like 'Giedo van der Garde', the V is not capitalised. However, the Dutch spelling rules for names dictate that without a given name the first 'tussenvoegsel' in the name is capitalised; so 'Van der Garde' and 'mr.
