Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Cities standards might help.
Spanish name
editOkay... no... not working! Gila Bend may often be pronounced something like /ˈχiˌla ˈbɛn/ in Spanish, but the name is written in Spanish texts almost invariably as "Gila Bend". Just as we don't write "Guhir" for "Goodyear" or "Cuin Cric" for "Queen Creek", "Apachillanchan" for "Apache Junction", "Macahí" for "Buckeye", or "Calle Ruzvel" instead of "Calle Roosevelt", we don't write "Gila Ben" for "Gila Bend". Okay? --Node 00:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Makes perfect sense to me; I always thought that looked wrong. Thanks for the correction! Karen | Talk | contribs 00:49, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Come to think of it, though, that was probably meant to be a pronunciation rather than a spelling. Still, I have no preference as to whether it should be here. Seems like a pretty minor distinction from the English pronunciation, which borrows from Spanish in the first place. Karen | Talk | contribs 00:57, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Gila Bend Air Auxiliary Field
editSomeone want to talk about Gila Bend Air Auxiliary Field in this article or add information? I think it would be pertinent. --DJREJECTED 11:44, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

I moved the page, but the edit summary was broken
editSince there is no other exact place called Gila Bend, the dismabiguator was not necessary. However, I accidentally pressed move before I finished my edit summary, so I am putting my reason here. InterstellarGamer12321 (talk) 09:51, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
