re notability
editI see this just got restored by Ckatz as the article itself hadn't been deleted; I don't have any thing formal to add to the AFD for the article except that I met Gilles years ago and he's certainly been around as long as a lot of people, or longer, who do have articles; Zolty Cracker, his original band, has been deleted, I don't see a point in nixing him as well (oh, it still exists; well it was either up for AFD or has also been reinstated). Notability where and to who, is the issue. Certainly he's notable on the festival circuit, as have been some of his "units", and I don't see why there's an effort to delete his bio article when there are others out there who are just as questionably, and moreso "un-notable". Gilles is pretty notable, but again sorry I can't provide formal references....a litte less haste, a little more research, please.....I should talk, I gues, I didn't look to see if the A.C. article was still there, I jsut asssumed it was gone....Skookum1 (talk) 19:10, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- The article had been deleted as CSD G11 ("blatant advertising") but I did not think that it qualified, so I asked that it be restored. I have edited the article to reduce the promotional tone, but it does need some sources to help to establish notability. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 01:14, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
