Too much US material?
editI reverted back to an earlier version after the removal of information on 7/10/06. The rationale for the original edit was that there was too much "US" material about Chinaglia. I restored the material back. If the person thinks there's too much "US material," all he or she has to do is add the "non-US" information that he/she knows to make this a more complete and thorough bio. I agree that this bio of Chinaglia is far from complete. So now here's an opportunity to fill it out in more detail. But deleting material is not the way to go about doing that. Didn't Chinaglia become an American citizen?
editI remember when the NASL was trying to "Americanize" the league with club fielding three American players, the Cosmos had stated they will not list Giorgio as one of their three American players. I think he was granted citizenship because his wife was American. I do not think players with green-cards/working visas were considered Americans. Raul17 11:43, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- He did. I added that in with a reference. In order to find that, I had to surf through a lot of pages and all I can say is man, time has not been kind to Giorgio! He DOES look like Tony Soprano now. Back in the day he was a mighty attractive man - not handsome mind you, but attractive. One thing about the Italian charges that should be addressed however is that in Italy, the mere suspicion you have been involved in a crime is enough to indict you. If you read Douglas Preston's book on the The Monster of Florence case, you'll see that this article could use a little explanation about the way Italian law operates.LiPollis (talk) 10:27, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Old Sports Illustrated articles
editI noticed that SI has opened up its "vault", and has posted its pre-internet age articles online, and I noticed that this article is rather bare with its sourcing. I plan to do some editing, but if any other editor want to be bold, here's some of the material:
- http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1094961/index.htm - cover article

personal life missing
editWhat about his marriage, kids and his famous cousin-in-law? (Mike Eruzione the former hockey player for USA). Once upon a time I had his autobiography but I'm sure that's very out of date. I don't think he stayed married to Connie annyway. Still, a little persona life stuff is always worth including.LiPollis (talk) 16:34, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
To set the record straight, Giorgio (my father) only had three children, myself and my two sisters. His second wife Angela Cacioppo Sposa has two sons ( Donald and Anthony Sposa), from a previous marriage. Angela divorced Giorgio in 2010. GChinagliaJr (talk) 11:23, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- Not what the New York Times source says. We need WP:Reliable sources to change information not your WP:Original research, whoever you are. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 14:08, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

editI realize all the links I posted above 6 (!) years ago are outdated. SI and NY Times are still great resources, though:
