Numbers on the list are getting sorted wrong
editSo it seems that in the list (mainly in the estimated population in slavery field) someone used . instead of , which I know is valid in some places but the list gets sorted wrong as a result. Can some setting be changed to fix that or is it necessary to change them all to commas? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.52.198.8 (talk) 08:11, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Is anyone interested in the 2013 data?
editThe section Global_Slavery_Index#Global_Slavery_Index_2013 is incomplete and out of date. I propose that we delete it. Matthew C. Clarke 12:40, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose: Historical data can be helpful, even when the methodology has substantially changed. Once 2015 data are available and have been posted, we can review whether 2013 data should be deleted. Meclee (talk) 13:53, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

Population of USA in Table is wrong (USA and India have all numbers swaped. have not checked others) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:8070:D283:7600:9CA3:AC06:DF87:490 (talk) 19:35, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
License/copyright
editThe license for the Global Slavery Index 2023 Dataset seems to be non-standard (https://www.walkfree.org/global-slavery-index/downloads/). Would crediting as described in license "Global Slavery Index [year] Dataset, Minderoo Foundation, available from: www.globalslaveryindex.org" be sufficient for derivative work/table with values? Is wokeness involved in critiques of this index?
editIs this index criticized in part because it reveals that whites didn't invent slavery, rather, abolished it after making it famous centuries ago? Africa was enslaving its own people long before whites got involved, and delivered slaves to them on the coast. Today, the races perpetuating slavery (aside from sex trafficking) seem to be mostly non-white, which surely triggers denial among wokeists. 24.21.52.169 (talk) 22:21, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
