Controversy over the creation?
editSurely there should be some mention of the controversy over the creation of this medal. When it was announced there was a lot of criticism suggesting that it was created for political reasons, to help tie the popular War on Terrorism in Americans' minds to the decidedly less popular war in Iraq. That criticism is surely what prompted the creation of the separate Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign Medals. 68.47.234.131 02:40, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
- It could certainly be mentioned if you could provide some good sources for that info. --Pmsyyz 21:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Userbox
editIs there a user box for people who have reviced this medal? I've seen boxes for Iraq/Afghan medals but not this one. I deployed with OEF in 02'. FLJuJitsu 12:47 15 Sept 07 —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 16:47, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
