about references

edit

The article asks about references on description, but this is a free software game anyone can install and check the statements. I don't understand which references could be useful here. Anyway, the two cited reviews should be sufficient. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nct (talkcontribs) 13:51, 21 September 2007 (UTC) I agree that this program has sufficient notability with the reviews being used as references. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Donkyhotay (talkcontribs) 11:24, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

notability

edit

This page should stay, the game has been growing with over 1500 registered online gamers, approximately 500 unique visitors a day, it is in the package databases for ubuntu, debian, and gentoo, it is listed on multiple game websites, and has been featured on some of them too. There have been over 450 downloads just this month from the website, this does not include the packages included in the individual Linux distributions.
http://globulation2.org/wiki/Trackback shows just some of the sites we've been mentioned on.

sure the article itself needs some more completion, but that makes it a stub, not an AfD --Appleboy Talk 10:05, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I also think this page should stay. As previously mentioned this game is listed on many gaming websites, especially ones dealing with open source and linux. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Donkyhotay (talkcontribs) 11:32, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Added citation

edit

I've added a citation to the Gameplay section, but I'm still a bit unsure of how Wikipedia works... so it would be nice if someone would tell me if I did it the right way. (And if I didn't, to fix it) Eyra 16:03, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

That's just right, thanks. (I'm assuming the manual you cited is an official one!) Marasmusine 16:39, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Globulation 2 dead?

edit

I stumbled by accident on this page and wanted to check out the official website, but globulation2.org is down (March 2012). Anyway it seems that the game hasn't been updated since 2009, so this project might well be abandoned. Felix Atagong (talk) 11:23, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

The last release (9.4.4) was on 31 August 2009, so it can be pretty much called abandoned. -- 178.25.85.111 (talk) 20:45, 5 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
