Santa Fe vs. San Miguel counties
editThis article is and was always categorized for the battlefield being in Santa Fe County, New Mexico, but I noticed a recent edit fixing its location at related list-articles (thanks User:Magicpiano). It had been included in National Register of Historic Places listings in San Miguel County, New Mexico, apparently incorrectly, perhaps related somehow to fact that other portions of the Pecos National Historical Park are in San Miguel County, New Mexico. By this note I want to confirm that the full Pigeon Ranch unit of the park, east of the pass, lies fully within Santa Fe County. This based on my comparing map of the park at map of Pigeon's Ranch portion of the park (available via the Historic American Buildings Survey documents at Library of Congress) vs. county borders viewable in Mapquest maps. The north-south dividing line between the two counties is east of the Pigeon's ranch at a point where Highway 50 curves slightly to the north. Hmm, I see the Pecos National Historical Park is categorized as being in San Miguel County alone, which is not correct, I'll fix that. --doncram 21:16, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Visitor centre?
editApart from 'landscaped paths and interpretive signs', can you tell us whether there are guided tours and/or a visitor centre with catering and overnight accommodation? Valetude (talk) 15:34, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
- I have not been there for perhaps a decade but there were no such things then. However it is not that far from Santa Fe and probably there are even closer amenities. Carptrash (talk) 18:56, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
