Note that "RFC", and not "RC", is the usual abbreviation for a rugby club. Chris talk back 14:52, 21 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Title

edit

Should this article move to Gloucester Rugby? It is the title used in the lead, and is on the logo as well. I don't know a lot about thee club, so I'm not sure what the most common/appropriate title is? Cvene64 12:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The following is taken from a whois on the domain:
   Domain name:
       gloucesterrugbyclub.co.uk

   Registrant:
       Gloucester RFC

   Registrant type:
       Not supplied

   Administrative contact's address:
       Kingsholm Road
       Gloucester
       Gloucestershire
       GL1 3AX
       GB
Add in the fact that Union clubs typically use the styling "RFC" (League clubs go by "RLFC") - the "football" is usually dropped for convenience when the audience knows you're not talking about a town in Warwickshire. 81.104.170.167 23:21, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

fan reaction to change

edit

Some very bias comments keep flowing in to this article and i continually find myself trying to rewrite it from a neutral perspective. Put simply there is not overwhelming support for Tom Wilkinshaws series of changes, yet these statements continuously appear in the article, there is a split between fans who are either in support of or against Tom Wilkinshaw and both sides of the debate need to be covered in order to create an unbiased and informative article of the club.

Shed contradiction?

edit

In the Stadium section, it states...

Gloucester Rugby opened the "sixpenny" stand later known as the Shed in 1891.

...but in the very next paragraph it states:

The Shed, so-called because it looks like a cow shed, dates back to the 1950s.

Is this a mistake? If the Shed was rebuilt between these two times, it should be stated in the article to clarify this. B e t t i at a l k  09:31, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kit

edit

The away kit is seriously outdated, it's over a year old now. I tried to fix it myself by editing the home kit in photoshop to use the correct colours, and I also uploaded them, but I can't work out how to change the kit on the actual page (something about patterns). Any body who knows how to do these things fancy giving it a go? Shaun680 (talk) 15:13, 10 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can anyone try and update the Gloucester kit home and away for the 2019/20 season thanks EthanMCO04 (talk) 09:36, 2 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Now in 2023, I concur with the above, I'm watching a game on Youtube played a little over a week ago, away to Northampton Saints, and Gloucester's away strip is solid blue throughout, the same colour as currently shown for the 2nd strip's shorts.
I was going to use an edit request template, but I think this would fall outside its parameters as I have no CoI, I'm merely ignorant of how the kit colour coding works. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 51.198.55.125 (talk) 14:18, 11 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
