Inaccurate review scores
editThe scores are actually pretty low. Gamespot gave it a 3 or so, and the page here shows it as a 9.5 130.212.25.101 (talk) 02:34, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Archived
editI just archived the page again, now that the game is out. --98.193.61.220 (talk) 21:30, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Removing game guide content
editHead's up, I removed all the excessive lists. It is game guide material, not a summary of gameplay (see here).--CM (talk) 20:12, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Was it really neccesary to completely remove the list of monsters?--Marhawkman (talk) 23:11, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Reception
editPlease mention why you are reverting certain edits which I have given full reason to why I have. If you don't that would be considered trolling/vandalism, notably if you revert multiple times in a row within 24 hours. You must state your reasons. If you think mine are wrong discuss them here. Assessment
editThis is a response to Stabby's request at my talk page. Though, it seems like ages since I last did an assessment for WP:VG/A, I'll have a go...
Currently, this article is very nice. It's a healthy overall length and has a number of images (with fair use rationales - yay!). Having said that, I think it's borderline Start/B. It's definitely not far from B (or GA, for that matter). Here are some things which, if rectified, would get you up to B in my books:
- Large portions of the article are in list format:
- The Kaiju section is both list-esque and veering on game guide-esque. I think the only really useful information is how the factions differ, so this entire section can be summarised by one paragraph in the Gameplay section.
- The endings can easily be de-listified and turned into one paragraph. There's no need for the endings to have their own section: just stick the information at the end of the plot section.
- The characters information can be trimmed down and put into paragraphed prose by removing the details from their backgrounds. You shouldn't need more than a couple of sentences to describe this.
- Development and Reception sections have an unhealthy number of one- and two-sentence paragraphs, which should be avoided like the plague due to their not-very-nice-to-read-ness. Merge and expand paragraphs where necessary to achieve this.
- Reception section is also a little light.
Other things which aren't essential to get this article from Start to B but shouldn't take too long to sort out:
- Lead section needs to be expanded (WP:LS): give an overview of the entire article in 3-4 paragraphs.
- Paragraph 2, lead section: aswell should be as well, or in addition to etc
- The last paragraph of the Reception section: Fan and player reactions to the game have been more positive. In my experience that's the case with most games: either expand this paragraph and show how this fact is notable or remove it.
- A lot of the references have [[redundant square bracket thingies]] around the dates.
- Formatting of external links needs to be fixed.
Well, that's all that springs to mind at present. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Hope this helps, Una LagunaTalk 20:42, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
for DS
editi've seen this game on nintendo DS too. why it doesn't say anything at all about this in the article seems a little odd.... 86.154.117.100 (talk) 13:40, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe thats because the DS version, Godzilla: Unleashed Double Smash is a totally different game in terms of gameplay, style, graphics, content. Stabby Joe (talk) 16:50, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Description of the "Mutants" Ending...
editIt says "Several cities are seen being destroyed by the crystals when SpaceGodzilla and the Mutants have won, when suddenly SpaceGodzilla appears and roars in triumph." That makes no sense. Shouldn't it be "Several cities are seen being destroyed by the crystals when Krystalak and the Mutants have won, when suddenly SpaceGodzilla appears and roars in triumph."? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.26.133.148 (talk) 19:56, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
The mutants are led by Spacegodzilla, so when the mutants win, of course Spacegodzilla's gonna roar in triumph. - An anonymous Godzilla expert —Preceding unsigned comment added by GodzillaUnleashed (talk • contribs) 22:36, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
True, but saying "Spacegodzilla and the Mutants have won" and then saying "when suddenly Spacegodzilla appears" is paradoxical. Besides, Krystalak is ment to appear to be the leader of the mutants until Spacegodzilla is revealed. 75.157.92.36 (talk) 16:48, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Discription of "Tyrant" level is wrong
editI've played through the game and the only way you can reach the Tyrant level is by getting all the power surges, which nullifies all alliances. 75.157.67.184 (talk) 06:37, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
It nullifies all alliances with you, as you've become so corrupt that all the other monsters no longer trust you.

Sub-Endings?
editWhat sub-endings? Like, do you have to be a GDF in Critical Mass when you beat the game or not kill Space-godzilla or something? Or does it have to do with your alliances? 75.157.92.36 (talk) 16:51, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- It has to do with your alliances. 142.26.194.190 (talk) 16:09, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
5th faction is fake!
editSomeone has been adding false information about a 5th faction. THERE IS NO 5TH FACTION! Yet that someone keeps re-adding the false information like it's real! --BNSF1995 (talk) 03:25, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Incorrect information for Destroyah...
editIt was the Oxygen Destroyer weapon that destroyed the original Godzilla in 1954. Destroyah didn't appear until decades later. Jdaniels15 (talk) 14:59, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
Zilla: Mutant or Earth Defender?
editA lot of people are thinking Zilla would've an Earth Defender if he'd made it into the game just because he lives on Earth. Well aside from that, there is no reason for him to be a part of the Earth Defenders faction. He is more or less a Mutant. He was mutated from an Iguana and destroyed boats on his way to New York City, killing tons of people and he smashed up several buildings in the City. Of course Godzilla was mutated and killed in his first film, but here's the differance, he evolved into a defender of the Earth and saved it from Aliens and Mutants. Zilla never expressed interest in saving humanity, much like all other Mutants. It makes more sense for him to be part of the Mutant Faction, unless anyone can give me reasons to suggest otherwise.
The point is people keep changing the section when I'm actually trying to correct it, so if anyone can give reason for him being an Earth Defender, he should remain as (Likely would've been a Mutant) --390VirginPendolino390 (talk) 11:02, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- I would actually like to know where people are getting information on Zilla among others would have been in the game in the first place. At the moment there are just assumptions without sources, not in line with Wikipedia's standards. This site is not for fan debate about possibilities. Stabby Joe (talk) 20:18, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
"An Mutant" or "A Mutant"?
editI'm having a problem. Lately this guy, 76.218.28.177, keeps changing the words in the Godzilla: Unleashed article from "a Mutant" to "an Mutant"! I keep changing it back, but he keeps reverting the article as if "an Mutant" is not a grammar problem when it actually is! He keeps insisting that "an Mutant" is correct, but it isn't! Which wording is correct? Is it "a Mutant" or "an Mutant"? I'm dying to know, okay? --Angeldeb82 (talk) 02:14, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
