Dallara IR2
editAccording to the IRL media quide, the present IRL Dallara is essentially the 2003 car, not the 2002 car, but each year they have aerodynamic updates and fiddles. So the correct chassis designation would either by IR3 or IR8, I've seen both used, but certainly IR2 is wrong. --Falcadore (talk) 05:05, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Move to Surfers Paradise Street Circuit?
editGiven that the race is no longer on the IndyCar series calendar, I think that the page should be moved to Surfers Paradise Street Circuit, as it will no longer be referred to by it's previous name once it becomes part of the A1 Grand Prix series. Thoughts/comments? TheChrisD Rants•Edits 09:38, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- Split rather than moved I think. 18 years is a lot of history, and its straddled the IRL/CART war, the Indy 300 probably deserves to be retained as its own race article. --Falcadore (talk) 11:45, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
I thought of that too, a split to the article into 2 separate one.--Cheetaih (talk) 08:39, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Apologies guys, I edited the page and then saw that you were planning on splitting it. I've reverted the edit, but feel free to put it back again. I agree that a split is probably approriate, but under its new name "Gold Coast 300". The history should go with it though. FREON101 (talk) 04:51, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry for the LONG delay in this, but I've split all non-American open wheel race information to Surfers Paradise Street Circuit. Now to begin the arduous task of changing those links which matter to point to the right page... TheChrisD Rants•Edits 19:08, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
