Golden Age (disambiguation)
editAfter looking for the comic book golden age, I found the mess that is Golden Age, and Golden Age (metaphor), so I created Golden Age (disambiguation) and put all the disamb info I could find there. After that was done I found The Golden Age, so I moved my work here and put a redirect at Golden Age (disambiguation). Maybe it makes sense for the redirect to go the other way? j-beda 18:32, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Requested move
edit- Move. It is too confusing to have two different disambiguation pages for this term (one with, one without "The"), and it is much more common to list all occurences of "The Xyz" on "Xyz (disambigution)" than the other way around. Definitively keep the redirect from The Golden Age then though. – sgeureka t•c 22:07, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- This page has been moved from The Golden Age to Golden Age (disambiguation) as the result of a move request listed at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Dekimasuよ! 03:55, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup
editThis disambiguation page was marked for cleanup per MOS:DAB. I removed the following entries:
- all Golden Age of INSERT GENRE - because they are already listed under Golden Age (metaphor)
- The Postwar European Golden Age spanning from the 1950s to the early 1970s. Marked by relative poltical stability, economic growth and unprecedented heights in regards to standards of living. - no incoming links. Seems not notable enough for inclusion on dab page. Might be moved to Golden Age (metaphor) though.
- The Golden Age (band), a United Kingdom-based band - speedied
- The Golden Age of British Dance Bands - term for the dance music scene, largely in London, between 1925-1945. - no incoming links. Seems not notable enough for inclusion on dab page. Might be moved to Golden Age (metaphor) though.
- "The Age of Gold", a ballet by Dmitri Shostakovich, is also known as "The Golden Age". - not mentioned on Dmitri Shostakovich, linkely nonnotable
- "The Immortal Bobby: Bobby Jones and the Golden Age of Golf, a book by Ron Rapoport - per MoS:DAB#Examples of individual entries that should not be created
- ""The Golden Age of the Amazon Princess: Wonder Woman", a book by Les Daniels - per MoS:DAB#Examples of individual entries that should not be created
- The Golden Age of Grotesque, and album by Marilyn Manson - per MoS:DAB#Examples of individual entries that should not be created

- I noticed you removed the entry for the "Golden Age of hip hop" without explanation. I'll re-add it. 164.53.218.21 (talk) 03:07, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Encise
