I found this suspiciously high up at Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation/Popular pages. The all-time monthly page views comparison and the history of the redirect (30-odd edits often going back and forth) seemed to indicate it's best to disambiguate the base term. --Joy (talk) 18:40, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Daily page view statistics since don't show people going back to the tree much. --Joy (talk) 18:31, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

In April, https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Golden_shower showed ~27.6k views (!), ~4.25k outgoing clickstreams to urolagnia (~15% / ~92%), 187 to cassia fistula (~0.7% / ~4%), 69 to oncidium, etc up to 8 destinations (4618 total). --Joy (talk) 19:56, 1 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Monthly page view statistics show 6350 views of the topical urolagnia redirect, though it does have 20 links from other articles [1]. --Joy (talk) 19:59, 1 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

In May, there were 24.2k views, and we could identify 4594 clickstreams in total to 9 destinations, 4194 to urolagnia (~17.3% / ~91.3%), 181 to Cassia fistula which also had an organic yearly traffic spike (0.75% / ~4%), etc. --Joy (talk) 09:34, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

The traffic patterns here seem to have stabilized a tad by now, but the amount of traffic is still pretty large. Adding the topical redirect in the all-time view shows we moved that baseline of between 5-7k clicks a month from the hatnote. --Joy (talk) 09:42, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
