The sign found in the station uses pinyin for its name.

1. Oppose, railway station is not city, it has its own naming system. Pinyin is the official romanization for railway stations (see image on the right). Besides, it will be messy if we use different romanization method for different stations. Yao Ziyuan 14:58, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

It was requested that this article be renamed but there was no consensus for it be moved. --Stemonitis 07:20, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Move

The railway station "should have the city's name" per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Chinese). I accordingly moved Geermu railway station back to Golmud railway station. For relevant discussions, see Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese). --Neo-Jay (talk) 07:23, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
