Fair use rationale for Image:GoodnightVCover.jpg

edit

Image:GoodnightVCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:21, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

John Lennon wasn't the only contributor from The Beatles

edit

A two-second search produces this hit on the notoriously-scrupulous site Discogs:

http://www.discogs.com/Ringo-Starr-Goodnight-Vienna/release/4119998

You can clearly see that Paul plays on one of the tracks, while George produces on another. So all four Beatles 'contribute' to this album. Will check back at a future point to see if this odd statement has been amended, and if not I'll do the necessaries. The page is info on the original album. You're referring to the reissue which includes "bonus tracks" -- the 1970 single Back Off Boogaloo and the 1973 tracks originally from the "Ringo" album" so it's correct as is. Hotcop2 (talk) 11:35, 25 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Those garner some mention here. Seven years on and this is still a very Lennon-heavy article for a Ringo solo album. Morganfitzp (talk) 13:25, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

The cover

What’s the story behind the album’s cover? It’s one of the most iconic of its era and worthy of a section devoted to it. Morganfitzp (talk) 13:23, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
