Disambiguation page needed?

edit

While I was just looking up the etymology of the phrase "goody two shoes," I read it originated with a 1760s comic book heroine name Goody (short for "goodwife") Two-shoes. I put that the song is rockabilly (i.e. rockabilly revival). It is clearly not new wave. 83.71.215.34 (talk) 20:03, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Maybe its not new wave, but rockabilly it certainly isn't! - removed 79.64.195.108 (talk) 00:57, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Power pop is better, I suppose. More like swing revival. AmericanLeMans (talk) 23:40, 1 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Goody Two Shoes did not exist in 1981 in any way, shape or form!!!

edit

Recently I had to delete for a SECOND time from the Adam Ant page a mention of Goody Two Shoes having been recorded (or in this second case demoed) in 1981. A reference was provided for the full paragraph, but there was nothing in that reference to support this specific claim, hence the deletion. I now find the same claim on this page with no reference whatsoever.

For what it's worth, Goody Two Shoes was written circa Feb/March 1982 after (1) the departure from the band of Gary Tibbs and Terry Lee Miall (although possibly before the decision to go fully solo) and (2) as the first of a new batch of songs to replace the set of songs which Adam and Marco had originally written for the putative next Ants album after Prince Charming and then scrapped (some of which MAY appear among the bonus tracks on the Friend Or Foe remaster, although this has never been confirmed.)

I shall monitor this regularly in future and shall delete and further references to Goody Two Shoes already existing in 1981 at it is just plain not true! (Unless anyone can find a proper reference to support such a claim.)

If you are 63.3.19.1 or any of the other people who have input said faleshood onto this page, please feel free to explain below from where the hell you got the idea of Goody Two Shoes existing in 1981 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.144.242.18 (talk) 10:50, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
