Did you know nomination
editI have nominated this article for "did you know". Here is the review (will automatically update itself): The Anonymouse (talk • contribs) [Merry Christmas!] 09:52, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
- It did get DYK, as noted at the top of this talk page. The Anonymouse (talk | contribs) 15:27, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
Why hardly any information about the Google Maps for Android?
editThis article starts out saying that the Google Maps app was released for Android on September 23, 2008 and iOS on December 13, 2012, then absolutely nothing else about it for Android. Considering it was available for Android first, it shouldn't be an iOS (iPhone/iPad) centric article. It should have information about the different releases of the Android app, including the release dates and what features were added or removed in each release, including the latest update to it, which recently underwent a major change. Ceo255 (talk) 02:38, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
The version information is incorrect for Android. It is currently at v7.6.1 Brian (talk) 16:29, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Feature History (addition/removal)
editI think it is worth documenting which versions/releases of the app have significant feature additions or removal. For example v7.0 for Android removed these and more:
- My Maps - Offline Maps - "Save as Contact" - OPTIONS - Zoom buttons - Scale - Measure tool
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Google Maps (mobile application). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20140501135339/http://androidunderground.blogspot.com.es/2012/06/google-maps-goes-offline-again-you-win.html to http://androidunderground.blogspot.com.es/2012/06/google-maps-goes-offline-again-you-win.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
