External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Gopsall. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20110903022316/http://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/tce_faqs.htm to http://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/tce_faqs.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, you may follow the instructions on the template below to fix any issues with the URLs.

Small modification
editI have slightly changed the wording of some of the opening lines as a casual reading of it seems to suggest that the estate was always a part of the Crown estate, when in fact it was not owned by them until the twentieth century. I don't think that this is an unreasonable edit, it merely better clarifies the situation. Original text: "The area was formally part of the Crown Estate, owned by but not private property of the Monarch." My change: "The area was in recent times part of the Crown estate."
I think the succeeding sentence should also be changed, but I am very wary of making edits to wikipedia entries as some editors can be very hostile to changes, though I have no reason to think that previous editors of this page would behave in this manner. Thank you. John2o2o2o (talk) 10:48, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
- Change away - it was only recently added, and reads like it is suggesting that Gopsall was excluded from Shackerstone Estate 'for the sake of clarity', which I suspect was not really the reason. That being said, it would be useful if there was a reference to a reliable source for any of this. Agricolae (talk) 17:16, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
