Checking against the GA criteria
edit- It is reasonably well written.

- "his third year as Thomaskantor" - should this be italicised, per some other articles?
- "Bach began the libretto for the feast" - which feast?
- "the first of these hymns was sung regularly after the sermon on Reformation Day in Leipzig" - needs a link
- "As Hofmann points out" - sounds a bit informal. Perhaps this could be As Hofmann asserted

Pre-GAN polish
edit- "...and including the first stanza from Martin Rinckart's hymn "Nun danket alle Gott" and as the closing chorale the final stanza of Ludwig Helmbold's hymn "Nun laßt uns Gott dem Herren" -- doesn't quite make sense. I don't want to adjust it as I don't know what to adjust it to. Any ideas Gerda? CassiantoTalk 20:47, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
