Name
editI couldn't find any estabilished English translation other than just delegatura used in several works. Currently, delegatura is a disambig. Should we move this article to delegatura, and the disambig to delegatura (disambiguation)? It may be better to use part of the original name, used in some English works ([1]), rather than our own translation, not used in any publication ([2]).--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 19:54, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think that the reason you were unable to find an appropriate English version of the Polish name is that there are very few competent Polish-English translators, whether in the Polish-history field or elsewhere. Sometimes, regrettably, we have no choice but to create an English equivalent; and I would not burden that act with the opprobrious label of "original research" (otherwise, any text that we import from the Polish language into English, i.e., any translation, would be "original research"!). French translation?
editI've studied French for 4 years and am pretty fluent in the language. Should I write a French translation of this page?
(And if I should... ::embarassed chuckle:: how exactly would I connect the French translation of the article to the original article? Help, please? Someone?)
