Merger proposal

edit

This article was created as a cut and paste move from Irish Government by User:The Transhumanist without any discussion. The Irish Government article was then re-directed here, the re-direct was undone by other editors. So now there are 2 almost identical articles. The edits by The Transhumanist were well meaning, but s/he went about it the wrong way.

On a side issue, I think the Irish Government article be renamed to Government of Ireland, as this is the offical name, see [1]. Snappy56 (talk) 06:55, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Agree with the merge however the Government of the Republic of Ireland deals with the legislature judiciary ect but the constitution of ireland states that The Government is solely the executive. --Barryob (Contribs) (Talk) 12:13, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I support the merger and the proposed change of the name of the Irish Government article that User:Snappy56 has proposed. Regards. Redking7 (talk) 18:13, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Important notice

edit

The government section of the "Outline of the Republic of Ireland" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

Thank you.
