Are the governors of each governorate assigned (by tradition of unwritten constitutional conventions) to a specific religious community?
In [1] I read: "The Beirut governor is traditionally an Orthodox Christian, and the Mount Lebanon post normally goes to a Sunni." and in Beirut Governorate: "The governor of Beirut is Greek Orthodox according to tradition, while the mayor is Sunni Muslim."

The surface areas of the governorates are necessarily wrong because they add up to much more than the total surface area of Lebanon.
