Proposed rewrite/renaming
editThis article deals with the girna and the razzett, which are found on both Malta and Gozo, while the title refers to irziezet found in Gozo. I think that this article should be expanded/rewritten and renamed, either as Maltese vernacular architecture (describing the girna and the razzett, plus rubble walls, cave dwellings, and possibly chapels and windmills) or as Maltese farmhouses or something similar (dealing with the razzett only). I prefer the former option. (this might be of interest to Continentaleurope (talk · contribs)).

Each and every vernacular building you mentioned deserves its own article. We have to use the vernacular name "razzett" like other types of country specific farmhouses. I have uploaded a number of photos of Maltese farmhouses. I am going to write new articles about Testaferrata Farmhouse in Ta Xbiex and Casa Ippolito in Birzebbugia...both are fortified farmhouses and typical of villa rustica or country residence. These can be discussed to be added in the list of fortifications/fortified buildings. So is Villa Cagliari (?) in Zejtun. There is so much details about the razzett that we need to have an article on its own, how it developed, evolved, features, use, etc.Continentaleurope (talk) 01:05, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
