Gráinne/Gràinne
editGráinne and Gràinne are etymologically unrelated to the name Grace and should not be listed here. Anglicisation of Irish names was an act of colonialism. Just because one popular figure named Gráinne was sometimes known as Grace, does not mean that the "translation" of Grace into Irish is Gráinne. Similar to the names Áine and Cathal, which are etymologically unrelated to the commonly held belief that they are "translations" of Anne and Charles, of which they are not. They are names of Irish origin, with separate etymologies, just like Gráinne. 191.178.181.147 (talk) 14:29, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed. Both removed. Wire723 (talk) 16:47, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
