She is certainly notable. |

Birth date?
editThe caption under the picture states she was born in 1961/62 - which is correct?Shaybear?00:32, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Her date of birth is unknown, it is believed to be around 1961 or 1962, the template requires a birth year so the unconfirmed birth year is given. -- SmthManly / ManlyTalk / ManlyContribs 01:34, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Grace Ross is a very interesting individual in a good way. VOTE FOR HER!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.20.118.81 (talk • contribs) 16:13, 31 October 2006
POV
editI probably should have started the discussion here a while ago, but there are a few poorly sourced and potentially libellous claims being repeatedly added to the article by pitchka (talk · contribs). Let's discuss them here before getting into an edit war. I'll have more to say later, but I wanted to initiate the conversation and start this section ASAP. -David Schaich Talk/Cont 19:51, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Controversies
editMichael Graham publically called Ross an anti-Semite and proceeded to list his reasons why on his radio program.
Grace Ross and her party do not recognize the right for Israel to exist and calls it "an illegal occupation".[1] Ross further attended a memorial for the Black September terrorists and attended pro-Hezbollah rallies. These are all facts.
Ross complained about radio talkshow host DePetro's remarks which identified her as, "a fat lesbian." Since this statement is true she is an admitted lesbian and is obviously obese, and since DePetro was mentioned in the article it is only fair to mention it under the controvesy section.
It does no one any good, except Ross and her supporters, for facts to be removed from an article. The article was obviously started to give her positive publicity, but that also opens it up for negative facts to be added as well. Quit the spin. Dwain 19:52, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Don't play dumb: the "illegal occupation" you link to above is clearly not a reference to Israel itself, but to the occupied territories. Here is not the place to dispute that occupation's legality.
- As you point out, DePetro is already mentioned in the article. Is there need to make the same mention twice? The error in your edits is to claim that Ross sought his dismissal; she had nothing to do with his dismissal, didn't complain about his comments, and even said that she was not particularly bothered by them.
- The accusations on Graham's weblog (and one link on there, no more reliable) were the only ones I could find claiming that Ross attended "pro-Hezbollah" rallies and "a memorial for the Black September terrorists". This is not even close to reliable verifiable sources on these issues. -David Schaich Talk/Cont 20:05, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
HUH?
editHas any one else noticed that the link to this page is on the wrong date on the DBE register? it has the link on her birthdate and not the date that she recieved her DBE, weather she even IS a DBE is not even clear to me, however i have noticed that someone else, of exactly the same name happens to have recieved their DBE on this date/year. some link organisation is in order im guessing [2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.199.208.54 (talk • contribs) 22:36, 29 October 2008
- This is a different Grace Ross than the Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by that name; I will correct the link in the List of Dames Commander of the Order of the British Empire article. -David Schaich Talk/Cont 00:27, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
