Johnsoniensis - Following on from the above - which appears never to have been answered - I have only just noticed that this article, and Grade II* listed buildings in Shropshire Council (H–Z) both refer to the "county of Shropshire Council". But the county is Shropshire, with Shropshire (district) being one of the two relevant unitary authorities. The article Grade I listed buildings in Shropshire does not follow this odd style. I suspect it is an attempt to address the division of historic Shropshire into Shropshire (district) and Telford and Wrekin but I'm uncertain that it is the best way to handle the issue. It suggests there is a "county" called "Shropshire Council", which there isn't. Grade II* listed buildings in Telford and Wrekin addresses the issue by describing itself as "a list of these buildings in the district of Telford and Wrekin in Shropshire." Could we not rename this, and the (H-Z) article, as "Grade II* listed buildings in Shropshire (district)" and follow the T&W wording, i.e. "a list of these buildings in the Shropshire district of the county of Shropshire", or some such? I'd be grateful for other views. KJP1 (talk) 11:20, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
