Are no details about his early life available?
editParents? High school? The man sprang fully formed from the schoolmaster's forehead at St. Mark's? No ancestors of his did anything noteworthy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.85.22.100 (talk) 17:02, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
"What ISIS Really Wants"
editI redirected "What ISIS Really Wants" to Graeme C.A. Wood, though this article has received a lot of media coverage and it might be notable enough for its own article. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:50, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Graeme C.A. Wood → Graeme Wood (journalist) – Where is he ever presented as "Graeme C.A. Wood"? This usage is unnatural. GregKaye 09:01, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support speedy move. And also Graeme Wood to Graeme Wood (cricketer), 1988 is a long time ago. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:44, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support. Can make Graeme Wood disambig for Graeme Wood (cricketer) and others -- Aronzak (talk) 09:53, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support - speedy move per WP:COMMONNAME and we can disambiguate for the cricketer. Mbcap (talk) 15:51, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support, both the subject's own use and external references to the subject exclude the "C.A.", making it an unlikely source of assistance to recognition by readers. bd2412 T 13:25, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Nationality?
editIs Graeme Wood a Canadian or American journalist? He is listed here as an American, and this biography indicates that he has lived his whole life in the United States outside of journalistic endeavours, but he won Canada's Governor General Award for non-fiction, which is reserved for Canadian citizens. Perhaps his parents were Canadian and he's lived most of his life in the United States despite being a Canadian citizen? I've also found some websites that describe his nationality as Canadian. Loquacious Folly (talk) 23:42, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- -- Resolved on July 11, 2022. He holds Canadian citizenship which makes him eligible. I cited a source where he self-describes as Canadian. You don't need to be living in Canada, necessarily, to win a GG. 2607:FEA8:2CC1:5470:A4CC:9EC2:A378:33AB (talk) 21:20, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
Vandalism
editIt appears that a small Twitch streamer is related to this man through marriage. Due to political disagreements, fans of the streamer may show up here whenever Graeme is mentioned. Consider temporarily adding a level of protection to the page in the future. Bro-zoned (talk) 04:38, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, the woman's name is Caroline Kwan who directed her audience to harass Wood by calling him a cracker and derogatorily calling his children "little Aryans" in a way to assume that Wood was glad that his children came out more White passing then Asian. LightningLynx89 (talk) 07:32, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Or it could be because Wood's controversial article in "The Atlantic" titled as "The UN's Gaza Statistics Make No Sense" which included the statement "It is possible to kill children legally, if for example one is being attacked by an enemy who hides behind them.". I don't know who Caroline Kwan is and I tried to edit the article to reflect this fact which has been reported by several news web sites. But maybe I'm wrong and it was a just a retaliation from a small Twitch streamer.

- Yes, if you read what others said after you tried to add that article, you would know that it was removed because there is no reason for a non-exhaustive list of articles to be added to this journalist's page. Currently, his page covers his work history, achievements and early life. Additionally, adding selective quotes from those articles serves little purpose outside of political bias.
- Others were vandalizing the page by creating links to the "human feces" Wiki page or plagiarizing from Graeme's article. That is why the page lock was requested.
- It would not be a bad idea to create a "Controversies" or "Political Positions" section in the future, if Graeme is sufficiently politically active or controversial. But it is still important to abide by the NPOV rule, especially because Graeme is a living person. Bro-zoned (talk) 18:04, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. 85.55.97.12 (talk) 18:21, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
