Why no 2007 entry? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.189.143.19 (talk) 16:52, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Seems to have been corrected. Regardless, I am working on a major overhaul. --Another Believer (Talk) 22:37, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
The text you added appears to contradict the chart. The text says "the award was first presented to Bruce Hornsby and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1989" but the chart shows Bill Monroe receiving it in 1989 and Bruce Hornsby and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band receiving it in 1990. cmadler (talk) 12:45, 13 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ah! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I am not sure what I was thinking--perhaps I had the table sorted a particular way when I was expanding the lead. Thanks again! (I went ahead and corrected the lead--hope to have more time today to work on the nominees and references). --Another Believer (Talk) 15:30, 13 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I just figured it out. The award was first presented in 1989 - the 31st Grammy Awards - to Bill Monroe. The award presented each year is for the year before. So when Hornsby & NGDB won in 1990, it was for 1989. I realized this because the Grammy Award winners website is categorized by the year for which the award was given, not the year in which the award was given. cmadler (talk) 18:00, 13 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Table references

edit

I've added a citation to each line in the table for the winner. Currently these are all to the same reference, which is the Grammy website. I think this is needed, because the citations for the nominees don't indicate who won for that year. For the time being, at least, these need to remain in-table, because this article is currently nominated for Did You Know. Thanks, cmadler (talk) 15:48, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

While I very much appreciate your assistance and willingness to work on the list (and nominate a DYK hook), I "undid" the edit you made since the General source under the References section replaces the need to add the same source to each row in the table. Essentially, the winners have all been sourced--now we just need to find references for the remaining cells to cite the nominees. Not too many left to go! --Another Believer (Talk) 16:04, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Cmadler, I just read the comments over at the DYK talk page, and added a comment of my own. Sorry if I caused any confusion, and thanks again for your willingness to help! --Another Believer (Talk) 16:12, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Great Dobro Sessions (Jerry Douglas, Tut Taylor) won in 1994. Why is it listed in the chart as 1995?--Artaxerxes (talk) 13:42, 3 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
