Initial name?
editWere they originally called "Grandmaster Flash & the 3 MCs"? In 1978 they were known as "Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 4 MC's". Interestingly, they also recorded under the name "Marvellous Three & The Younger Generation" in 1979.-SilverOrion (You talk way too much!)
Illegal Parties
editWhat is an "illegal party"? 24.65.95.239 (talk) 06:08, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Cause of death
edit"died due to his addiction to crack cocaine" Really? Is that the actual cause of death? From the crack cocaine article: "(mixing cocaine with heroin), which can lead to more fatalities than either drug used on its own." So shouldn't it say what the actual cause was?24.62.156.219 (talk) 16:11, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
Early Years
editIs the statement that they were the number 1 hip hop group in NYC too definitive? It is probably true, but there should be a source for that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Flags12345 (talk • contribs) 15:45, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
"Soc314: Wikipedia Critique an Article Assignment"
edit1. In the first paragraph of the article "Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five", it stated that the group disbanded permanently. I feel as if the group did disbanded, there should have been a date and and explanation why the group split. Also, the author had a separate paragraph discussing the group's permanent split. However, the group made it a bit unclear on their breakup and if they broke up on other occasions.
2. For the most part, I think the author was able to stay neutral. However he did make some claims that were a bit opinionated. For example, the author wrote that "Their debut album ' was also named 'The Message, and it went on to become a prominent achievement in the history of hip-hop". For such a bold statement like this, I think that there should have been a citation for that claim as well, because in the music of hip hop there are different pieces that people would also think their prominent and changed the scope of hip hop.Raven J11 (talk) 04:02, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

Copy edit template
editI don't think it's needed anymore. The copy itself is now free of obvious error and is grammatically sound. It did need work and I have done some work on it.NEDOCHAN (talk) 14:34, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
