Grimalkin or Greymalkin?

edit

Everywhere i've seen shows his name as Greymalkin, but someone's change it to Grimalkin. Which one is it? :S Steveking 89 (talk) 14:13, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Marvel.com's interview (presumably incorrectly) had a video with the character's sketch and the name "Grimalkin". But based on all of Guggenheim's other interviews and the fact that his name is based on the Institute's address (Greymalkin Lane), I think its definitely 'Grey-'. 76.0.91.153 (talk) 22:54, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

A mutant

edit

The article says that Greymalkin is a mutant. Has this ever been confirmed in the comics? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.113.59.15 (talk) 21:14, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The guy who created The young X-men said he is a mutant but isn`t what he appear. Go to his comicvine bio and "images" to gain info or hints his power —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.237.66.153 (talk) 05:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Grey or Gray?

edit

X-Men Manifest Destiny #3 uses Graymalkin for the new hero, as does too Young X-Men #5 and #7. The E seems to be only used in the former X-Mansion address (as, for example, when, on page 11 of Uncanny X-Men #501, Warren Worthington names the new West Coast X-men sanctuary Greymalkin Industries in homage to the old address), although not always (X-Men Manifest Destiny #3 gives "Graymalkin Industries" on page 2 of the "Uncheerable" story). The article should perhaps be moved? - NYArtsnWords (talk) 18:46, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

homosexual?

edit

I have nothing against gay people but when was it stated he was gay? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.210.25.252 (talk) 02:14, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

X-Men Manifest Destiny #3 gives Graymalkin's back story which features him being buried alive by his father after being caught making out with a guy. - NYArtsnWords (talk) 03:22, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

sorry i must have missed that issue —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.210.25.252 (talk) 02:00, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't matter, it never stated that he was gay. He was doing an unstated thing in the barn that his father did not tolerate and he was beaten then buried. I think people only assume he was gay because of the other male in the barn. The meaning of the story has to be inferred. The Muffin Man has moved to Broadway 00:10, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
People actually infer his homosexuality by the fact that he's also speaking with Anole, saying that he was attacked and buried because of who he was and that Anole is the same as him and knows what he is. Given that he's buried prior to his mutant manifestation, that leaves only one thing that he and Anole specifically share in common. As well, all of his narration about discovering something about himself and experimenting precedes his mutant powers manifesting, the panel with the other boy is captioned by a statement about intolerance with part of the boy's shirt untucked from his pants, and the story is titled "Abomination" which is rhetoric I'm sure I don't have to explain. So it's not just a one-panel inference.Luminum (talk) 04:13, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
