Humphrey Kynaston
editI have rephrased the second sentence under "Attractions" - which initially read as "Consequently his actions have made way for many attractions in the local area", implying he created all the present day attractions - to "Consequently his legendary deeds have become the basis for many attractions in the local area", for better English and to acknowledge the legendary nature of what is known about much of his life.Cloptonson (talk) 20:35, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Reported Change - accessibility of Kynaston's Cave
editThe sentence on Kynaston's Cave ended as follows: however over time the stairs have eroded so a wooden staircase was built to enable access to the cave. However, having visited the cave today I discover there is no longer a wooden staircase. I have ended the sentence at eroded and added a separate sentence indicating a wooden staircase once existed and that presently the steps have been fenced off and the cave mouth and window blocked by metal grids. I have added a footnote stating this is based on user observation. I have done this pro bono publico, so please do not delete unless in future time a new staircase is built.Cloptonson (talk) 19:07, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- I have also reported this to the Virtual Shropshire website, the source of the information.Cloptonson (talk) 20:35, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
Little Ness
editTo balance the previous prominence given to Great Ness I have added a section on Little Ness (otherwise only basically referred to regarding the parish council) incorporating existing information on Adcote and adding details on the church and war memorial. These could be the nucleus of a separate article on Little Ness in future.Cloptonson (talk) 13:19, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
Hopton
editIn response to the disambiguation need raised in the section Common Local Governance against Hopton, I have created a new redlink category "Hopton (by Nesscliffe), Shropshire", which can become the place for creating a new article. The name of the hamlet, north of Nesscliffe, has neither suffix or prefix.Cloptonson (talk) 10:38, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

More than one Alderton in Shropshire
editI notice the name of one of Great Ness parish's hamlets is wikilinked to the Alderton in the civil parish of Myddle and Broughton. I have delinked it, leaving opportunity for someone to create a stub article for it.Cloptonson (talk) 06:42, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
