As for Green Flame Boys, I re-referenced Wikipedia: Notability (music) and they clearly show agreement in this respect
"9. Has won first, second, or third place in a major music competition." - There is an article and a source that won third place at the Pentaport Rock Festival Rookie of the Year competition.
