This article, and other CTA articles read like a wandering conversation. They could use a few edits, but I'm not the best English writer by any stretch of the imagination. —Rob (talk) 19:45, 28 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I added a chart of stations here, think it could be useful. Locations need to be filled in, I may undertake that at some point in the future, but in all I think this is a more handy reference than having to go to the list of all L stations. - User:Theb04t 4/18/2007

Merger proposal

edit

I propose that South Side Elevated (CTA) be merged into Green Line (CTA). The content in South Side Elevated can easily be explained in the context of Green Line. The Green Line article is still light and doesn't contain enough material to yet warrant a split. Also, much of the information contained within South Side Elevated is a duplication of material from here. Lost on Belmont 3200N (talk) 23:54, 26 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is not duplicated from the original article! The only thing I took from the Green Line is a section from the station listing! Everything in that article were put into my words and not duplicated from any site or any other article! You can take every word from that article and look it up and I bet you will find most of it in that article! Most of the info included in the article were put into my own words! Please get back to me ASAP! OZODOR (talk) 01:37, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
The duplication is not in the specific words, but rather in content. Route, stations, etc. This isn't about making you stop. There are just ways of doing things on Wikipedia. Lost on Belmont 3200N (talk) 03:17, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

You know what, I object this merger proposal and I removing that template from the article! I work so hard on these articles and I am tired of them being removed! I was fine with the Ravenswood article being removed, but this can't go on forever! Wikipedia is suppose to be an exciting encyclopedia with friendly users, but that thought is not the truth! Please close this discussion and leave the article where it stands! Thank you! OZODOR (talk) 01:45, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Okay, fine! You can get rid of this one too but the North Side Main Line article will always stay! You can go ahead and remove this article and this discussion is closed! OZODOR (talk) 18:16, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. In almost all cases I don't think there is any need to separate the CTA infrastructure and the CTA operations into two articles—they can both be adequately covered by the line articles, and splitting them results in needless duplication of information. The exceptions for me would be where most or all of a piece of infrastructure is shared by multiple lines, such as the Loop, then consolidating into one article makes sense as it avoids having to repeat the same information in each of the line articles. —Jeremy (talk) 20:02, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Its okay! Go ahead and merge the article! I didn't get what you guys were talking about, so I freaked out a bit! I would also want to thank Lost on Belmont 3200N for putting a route map on the North Side Main Line article! I knew something was missing! Thanks! OZODOR (talk) 23:25, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Umm... will the article get moved or what?! Its still here and we really aren't debating whether it should be merged or kept!!! The Smell of Magic 02:05, 6 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
