Took out the part about the Klassens. Had nothing to do with this page.

The former Town of Gretna's website "http://i51530.wixsite.com/townofgretna/ourstory", linked in the article itself, appears to be the source of much of this article's text, with only a very light editing pass to make it appear to not be a direct copy. While the town government no longer exists (having being subsumed into the Rural Municipality of Rhineland), and the referenced website does not explicitly claim copyright or declare a copyright date, neither of those facts remove the presumption of copyright upon publication in Canada, and does not put it into the public domain. Unlike in the US, government publications are not automatically public-domain. I believe much of this article needs to be rewritten. (If this article is, instead, the source of the website's text, then that would seem to be equally problematic, although in that case, I think for being primary-sourced.) --Athompso99 02:42, 4 September 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Athompso99 (talkcontribs)

http://www.mb1870.org/localhistory/133%20-%20Gretna%20-%20Window%20of%20the%20Northwest.pdf is an excellent source for anybody willing to draft a substantive article. DMBanks1 (talk) 04:17, 17 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
