Talk:Grignano Polesine

Some changes I made

I DELETED THE PARAGRAPH:

"Grignano is one of the most pleasant towns of the Polesine, remembered by visitors for the pleasant places and the cordiality of its inhabitants"

Because it is too unencyclopedic and because it expresses a whole bunch of unverified material and references, and the adjectives "pleasant" (repeated twice, though) is too personal. The "cordiality" is not an encyclopedic matter, I think.

I then corrected many syntax, grammar and ortographic mistakes and replaced some expressions to fit the encyclopedic atmosphere of Wikipedia. I will add some informations. (Brizz89 (talk) 23:04, 2 November 2008 (UTC)).

New article

After having confronted it with the Italian article, I decided to translate the latter and delete this. The content is the same but it is organized in a different manner and distribution. It has also some extra infos that weren't present in the English previous article. Hope it is a good job. (Brizz89 (talk) 14:14, 3 November 2008 (UTC)).

Deleted Paragraph

I deleted the paragraph labelled "criticism":

"Grignano is said to be the home of a large part of Rovigo's douchebag community. It also received strong criticism by its few young inhabitants for its lack of broadband connectivity, seriously limiting students' and some workers' productivity."

added recently but nowhere to be found as verifiable. I posted it here so if someone can verify the liability of the content can repost it. Well, actually (I live in Rovigo, Grignano is near) I can confirm that it lacks of broadband connectivity, but is it an important point for an encyclopedia? Article Criticism

You should be aware of the fact that no one will ever read the translated Grignano article, despite its debatable correctness and usefulness. My theory is supported by the fact that even in Rovigo no one wants to hear or talk about Grignano.

Well, it is quite interesting to hear such a theory. But if Grignano Polesine is actually a "frazione" it deserves to be listed on an encyclopedia, I guess. --Brizz89 (talk) 14:54, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

The fractions of time I lost writing this are worth its appearance down here. Just joking...I do actually think that Grignano has been important in the history of Polesine and even if the wide audience of Wikipedia is not interested in this it should appear, whether people know it or not. Of course I know the region, I live there. And as a proud Grignano inhabitant I DEMAND that you delete every single word from this article, as it is misleading, incorrect and written in a language different from Italian. WE, ITALIANS, GLORIOUS ITALIANS, MUST DEFEND AND IMPOSE OUR CULTURE IN EVERY CORNER OF THE WORLD. WIKIPEDIA IS NO EXCEPTION --81.208.106.72 (talk) 15:14, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Eheh, this discussion has become something like a gag, what the hell should I say. I'm Italian too but I'm not so proud of it that I demand to delete the article of my hometown.
