"as with all other cirrate octopuses, and unlike many other incirrate octopuses" This leaves me confused. Is it saying that the Grimpoteuthis is cirrate or incirrate? Carl Muckenhoupt (talk) 22:59, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Flush?
editWhat does that mean? It'd be nice if there was an explanation.63.245.174.45 (talk) 08:20, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Issues with plagiarism and unreferenced claims
editI noticed the species list in this article as of February 2020 was plagiarized from here: http://tolweb.org/Grimpoteuthis/20104. I found original sources for the species listed, and reformatted the table with additional info and sources. Kylew612 (talk) 14:53, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
Poorly written sentence
editThe section titled Breeding contains this sentence:
"Females have a much more prevalent gelatinous body type with size being more width than length, having 1.5 to 2 time more short arms."
Even if the misspelled word "time" were corrected to "times", this sentence would not make sense.
I hope someone knowledgeable about the subject who is also able to write in clear English can fix this problem.71.37.182.254 (talk) 18:16, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

editIs there a source for where this image came from? I'm interested in the research/exploration that captured this image, but cannot seem to find its origin. ExploringTheDeep (talk) 04:53, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
