According to its names this waterbody is a canal. But troughout its valley it is either the major or the only drain. Nowadays, there is no more natural waterbody besides it. Like in many cultivated wetlands, all waterbodies are more or less man made. Therefore it can be classified both as a canal or as a river.--Ulamm (talk) 18:57, 31 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
